I mean, what woman didn’t want to date Orlando Bloom during his prime, right? He was a great catch when he started dating the Australian supermodel, Miranda Kerr, who he eventually married. He has also been linked to some of the most beautiful women in the world, including Selena Gomez and Katy Perry.
Still, everyone seems to be asking the same question: what in the world happened to Orlando Bloom? Why is he not starring and headlining in movies like he used to? It almost seemed as though his career crash and burned at a very early stage. And now, fans want to know what triggered this or why Hollywood stopped casting him in movies.

A lot of people thought he would be the next Johnny Depp. But clearly, that didn’t happen. Instead, he ended up filming one flop after another, along with a bunch of B-list films.
As you can imagine though, people have their opinions. According to the website, Neogaf.com, some people have said, “He starred in two mega trilogies before people realized he couldn't act, dude had a great run,” along with, “He got some lucky breaks because he's pretty and now that the industry knows he can't act he hasn't been able to get any more decent roles. His Scuffle With Justin Bieber
You’d think that a person of Orlando Bloom’s caliber wouldn’t get into petty, “he said, she said” fights with someone like Justin Bieber. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened. After one too many words were said, Orlando Bloom took a swing Justin Bieber in front of a bunch of nightclub goers at a nightclub in Ibiza. And let’s just say that it didn’t end very well for both of them.
Here’s what Britain’s, The Mirror, has to say about it: “The brawl was over rumors the young singer made comments about his ex-wife, Miranda, claiming he had been intimate with her. In video footage obtained by TMZ, the actor took a swing at the pop brat, but appeared to miss, as security stepped in.”
He Had Just One Job…
After Orlando Bloom’s little scuffle with Justin Bieber at an Ibiza nightclub, the internet roasted the Hollywood actor. Why? Because according to critics and naysayers, he had “just one job.” Yes, just one job and he couldn’t do it. Orlando took a swing at Justin Bieber and totally missed and now, the entertainment world is having a hard time forgiving him for it.
It sounded like something you would go down in a middle school parking lot and not a Hollywood hot spot.
A model named Anastasia Skolkova witnessed the entire dramatic moment go down. She told The Mirror, “Bieber got angry. Orlando got very, very angry. When Bieber walked maybe 10 meters away, Orlando maybe had half a minute to think about what he was going to do. He got up and started running. Then he jumped over the sofa.”
His Japanese Commercials
Unfortunately, the biggest role Orlando Bloom has had in recent years is in the form of Japanese commercials. He’s been promoting a line of hair care products called Uno in Japan. And as artistic as the commercials may seem (some have even called them mini-movies they would like to see), this is not what you want to be doing, especially if you are still young enough to film blockbuster movies. The last thing you want the world to know about is that your ex-wife was depressed, lonely, and totally out of it following your divorce with her. And for your ex to describe every little detail in a magazine interview sure doesn’t make you look good, either, right? Well, unfortunately for Orlando Bloom, that’s what happened after Miranda Kerr told the world that she had a “really bad depression” following her split from the actor.
Miranda told Elle Magazine in an interview back in 2016, “When Orlando and I separated [in 2013], I actually fell into a really bad depression. I never understood the depth of that feeling or the reality of that because I was naturally a very happy person. Every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind.”

A lot of people were surprised, in both a good and startled way, when Orlando Bloom was photographed with Selena Gomez. After all, they are two very good looking people. They made a beautiful celebrity couple at the time. But, it was pretty obvious that they weren’t meant to be. Selena just got out of a messy relationship with Justin Bieber. Orlando was still dealing with the aftermath of his separation from Miranda Kerr. Simply put, they were moving too fast and too soon.

When asked about her relationship status with Orlando Bloom, she danced around the question. “Well, you know, I think people are in and out of your life,” she told The Morning Mashup, a SiriusXM Hits 1 program, according to People magazine.
“It’s nice to keep people you love around you. When you get older, lines get blurred. And you know what, I’m really busy. I’m about to go on tour for another year.”

Obviously, we don’t know what happened between Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. I mean, they did seem like a perfect Hollywood match made in heaven, right? They are both successful and both undoubtedly beautiful people. But something must have happened for Katy to pull the plug on their relationship, and she seems very eager to talk about it with the press, but without sharing too many details. Orlando must have done something to irk her or rub her the wrong way.
Katy told People magazine, “I’ve been in that cycle before in a relationship and it had kind of reignited the relationship, and there’s only so many times you can reignite the relationship or want to or should and sometimes you just need to write it and never send it. It’s just that exercise — that cathartic exercise.”

Some critics believe that Orlando Bloom might have boxed himself into playing certain roles a little too early on in his career. Instead of showing the world that he’s a versatile actor that can play an array of different roles, he decided to stick to the ones that he knows how to play best in big-budget films like The Lord of The Rings or The Pirates of the Caribbean.

Rather than try to make Paris into a more heroic and sympathetic character, Bloom played him as exactly the snivelling loser that he was.” While the character was compelling, it perhaps did not paint him in the best light.

When you are in the public eye, the last thing you should do is say anything negative about your acting ability. I mean, that’s what the critics are for, right? Yet, that’s what Orlando Bloom has done one too many times. It’s as if he has a lot of self-doubt about his skills and wants to say it before anyone else says it for him. Weird, right?

Since the couple still co-parents their son, Flynn, together, Orlando thought it would be a good idea to let Miranda know about the embarrassing photos. And apparently, even Miranda wasn’t convinced that it wasn’t a setup.
According to E! Online, Miranda explained, “Oh my God, he texts me and was like ‘Um, I’m really embarrassed, some photos are coming out, just thought I should let you know.’ And I was like, hmmm… right, what were you thinking? Seriously?!”
