While it may not be possible to find an apartment in Hogwarts, Harry Potter fans just had an opportunity to own the next best thing, as Daniel Radcliffe had his West Side apartment on the market up until recently.

According to Architectural Digest, the actor just sold his New York condo for $5.3 million to Dutch fashion mogul Fokke de Jong, known for his menswear line Suitsupply.

Though Daniel earned a seven-figure payday, it appears the actor was hoping to make more. He originally listed the unit for $5.65 million, though he shaved off $300,000 when he closed the deal with the Dutch designer.

Daniel has spent nearly two decades in the apartment, which he purchased in 2008. It’s situated on the 11^th floor of one of the only high-rise buildings in the West Village.

As a corner unit, the condo features expansive views of the Hudson River and New Jersey. It offers glass floor-to-ceiling windows, providing not only a stunning view but great natural light.

The new owner doesn’t need to worry about future construction ruining the view, as the neighbourhood has strict zoning laws that “doesn’t allow you to build large or tall buildings in most circumstances.”

For a New York apartment, Daniel’s pad is considered to be spacious. It comes with over 2,445 square feet of living space and was recently renovated. The home features multiple bathrooms as well as three bedrooms.

Some of the condo’s features include stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, and a separate gally cooking area in addition to a breakfast bar. The luxury building also features a variety of amenities that can be hard to find in New York, including a 24/7 doorman, concierge, porter service, and an on-site gym.

The building has been home to a variety of famous faces over the years, including Amy Poehler, Leonardo DiCaprio, and the Olsen twins.

This isn’t the only property the Harry Potter alumn has offloaded recently. In September, it was reported he an apartment his family had purchased in Australia in 2004 for $1.9 million when he was in the country filming for a movie.

The two-bedroom condo transferred to Daniel’s name when he came of legal age, but he ultimately decided to sell it after owning the property for nearly two decades.
