Tory Lanez Served Papers In $1.2 Million Lawsuit
Matthew Martinez Tory Lanez allegedly skipped out on a $1.2 million mortgage payment for his Miami pad, and now the mortgage company has served him with papers to collect what he owes. The rapper, who prosecutors have accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, is being told to pay up or face foreclosure.
According to Radar, the papers showed up when Lanez wasn’t home. The rapper’s roommate Sebastian Rompotis was the one to open the door to the Miami condo to find a process server standing there. Rompotis is a “co-resident” at the Miami property and works as a songwriter, and has allegedly worked on a few songs with Lanez himself.
By accepting the papers, the lawsuit can now move forward and Lanez has no choice but to respond to the case. A company named BH4908 LLC is suing the artist because he skipped out on a balloon payment that was due to the tune of $1,237,456.
The musician copped the 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 2,182 square foot penthouse in 2018 for $1.8 million, and he took out a $1.26 million loan from BBH4908 LLC to help cover the cost. Payments were $11,057 a month, with the one large balloon payment due in December 2021.

According to the company, the rapper made all of his payments on time but failed to cough up the dough when it came to the massive payment due in December. Now, they are demanding he pay up what he owes, plus interest.
Even worse for Lanez, they want to foreclose on the property and sell it off at auction. They claim that they will use the proceeds to pay off the debt owed, and any surplus would go to Lanez.
As the rapper faces foreclosure in Miami, he’s also dealing with a criminal case out in California. Prosecutors accuse Lanez of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot following a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house. Lanez was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the shooting, and rumors suggest he tried to bribe the Savage rapper to keep quiet.
He was arrested shortly after but is currently out on a $250,000 bond.
Lanez has pleaded not guilty to the charges and continues to use social media to cast doubt on the allegations against him. If convicted, the rapper faces up to 22 years in prison if convicted of the assault charge.
